I thought that I was prepared for the parenting experience.  I attended Xavier University and earned a bachelor of science in Early Childhood Education with a concentration on Child Development. I continued my education attending Teachers College, Columbia University earning a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology. I have developed literacy and developmental programs for Independent and Chartered School Districts, worked with non-profit companies providing early intervention services and CPSE evaluations for low-income families, founded Educate2learn, and guest lectured for colleges and universities. Yet, all of my knowledge and background couldn't prepare me for the real thing. After having children myself my philosophy changed. Some people consider me the "out of the box" psychologist which is why they are drawn to me. I give real advice for real parents. 

 

While embracing the change to motherhood I had an idea for a children's textile product. August 27,2014 Si & Roo Inc. was created.  Si & Roo are two amazing, smiley, children.  Their personalities are bigger then their bodies. They take on the world one day at a time.  It is Si & Roo who inspire those around them.  I am combining my knowledge of parenting and education with product design.​
